Cubs Reel Off Another Win
|
The Chicago Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-4, at Dodger Stadium. The win was due in part to shortstop Rafael Luna, who was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. For the Dodgers, the loss makes them 5-9.
Chicago relied on the hitting of Coby Mayo to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cubs on top, 5-4. For the game, Mayo had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Mayo. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
