Davis gets 5 RBI to Power Padres Offense
|
A 5-RBI performance from Richard Davis, who signed a 3-year contract worth $16,500,000 on 12/20/2024, helped the San Diego Padres beat the Chicago Cubs, 9-4. Joe Henson earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. The loss drops Chicago to 11-7.
Davis had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, when he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Padres went on to win.
