The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Truist Park, taking down the Texas Rangers, 6-1. Starting pitcher Rod Swift was a big reason why. Swift, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. James Serrano got the save, the 1st for him this season.

In the top of the eighth, Mac Watten stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Rangers were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when James Serrano made a terrific pitch and Watten struck out. Gone was the dream of a Texas comeback.

Texas falls to 11-11.
