Reds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Phillies
|
In a high-scoring game between Cincinnati and Philadelphia, designated hitter Rafael Castillo was a difference-maker. The 30-year-old helped Cincinnati grab the 11-10 win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 and driving in 3. With their winning streak at 5, the Reds have raced to a strong start this season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Cincinnati third baseman Fernando Leguizamo, facing Jacob Wallace, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Reds the 11-10 win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Leguizamo.
