That the way one BNN writer described the rookie left fielder for Philadelphia in the article announcing him as the National League Rookie of the Year Award recipient. K.J. Costello came on the scene this year and quickly established himself as player to be reckoned with. The 25-year-old Phillies newcomer took the trophy by hitting .276 in 153 games this season and finished with 164 hits, 35 home runs, 83 RBIs and 95 runs scored. Grant Delpit of the Miami Marlins finished second in voting, while Dominic Fletcher of the Pittsburgh Pirates finished third. |
