Kansas City, Pittsburgh Deal Made Wednesday, December 6th , 2023 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Kansas City. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Kansas City Royals general manager shook things up by acquiring 26-year old 1B Donald Taylor from the Pittsburgh Pirates for 34-year old 1B Anthony Rizzo, 21-year old minor league RF Deion Jackson, and 18-year old minor league 1B Daniel Cuvet. "We're a better team now," Royals general manager Rob Chapman said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." In his career, Taylor has played in 178 games with a .251 batting average. Among his 151 hits are 38 doubles, 3 triples, and 18 home runs. He has also scored 73 runs, walked 41 times, tallied 1 stolen base, and driven in 69 runs. |
