Diamondbacks-Pirates Deal: Thompson for Spencer Friday, March 22nd , 2024 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Diamondbacks announced today the acquisition of 23-year old LHP Derrick Spencer from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for 26-year old minor league RHP Tynan Thompson.
