Red-Hot Gill Scorches Rangers Wednesday, April 10th , 2024 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Brandon Gill of the Oakland Athletics had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 8-4 win over the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Brandon Gill hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Gill is currently batting .275 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs.
