Reed Locks Down Royals Victory, Gets 300th Save
Tuesday, April 16th , 2024
It clearly was a special game at Guaranteed Rate Field for Kansas City Royals pitcher Addison Reed, as his family and friends watched from the stands while he closed out career save number 300.

The 35-year-old reliever pitched 0.1 innings for his milestone save, giving up no runs and 1 hit in a 7-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

"This couldn't have happened to a better guy," the Royals manager said after the game. "You could see it in the way the crowd reacted today. It's hard not to be a fan of Addison."

Reed has registered 300 saves in his career.
