Injury Shuts Down Cooper for Season Monday, May 16th , 2022 Craig Cooper, the St. Louis starting pitcher, was less than thrilled to learn that his recent injury would keep him out of the rest of the season and any postseason action. "The playoffs?" he said. "Are you kidding me? The playoffs?" Cooper has a torn rotator cuff, an injury that has hampered him since 05/14/2022.
