Chicago, Milwaukee Agree to Swap Tuesday, May 24th , 2022 Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers. In the deal Chicago got 24-year old 3B Ryan Kerr, 25-year old minor league LF Blake Rutherford, 24-year old minor league 2B Patrick Fitzgerald, 22-year old minor league C Rob Markley, and 22-year old minor league LHP Jordan Wicks from Milwaukee and dealt 25-year old CF Roberto Torres to the Brewers. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned." In 13 games this year Torres has posted a .472 average and put up these numbers: 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. Thus far this season in 31 games Kerr is batting .235 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 85 at-bats. |
