White Batters Cleveland for 6 Hits Friday, September 2nd , 2022 It seemed that Seattle first baseman Evan White could do no wrong as the Mariners KO'd the Guardians, 15-1 today. White rapped out 6 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Guardians hurlers were throwing. "I think the Mariners were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Cleveland fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant White in the postgame press interview. Evan White singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Austin Malinowski in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
