Chicago Trades Chester for New York's Barnum Monday, May 17th, 2021 The Chicago White Sox have finalized a deal that will send 32-year-old 1B David Chester, 34-year-old RHP Tanner Scheppers and 26-year-old LF Dave Reilly to New York for 28-year-old 1B Keon Barnum, 25-year-old RF Franmil Reyes and 25-year-old minor league RHP Jud Graham. Minor details still need to be worked out before the trade becomes official, but the players involved are expected to be with their new clubs soon. Chicago will retain a portion of Scheppers's remaining contract. Chester is presently batting .233 with 9 home runs, 15 runs scored and 23 RBIs. His OBP is .297. This season Barnum has hit at a .234 clip with 10 RBIs, 4 home runs and 9 runs scored. |
