Chicago-Detroit Trade: Cody for Braun Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 The Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Chicago will part with 26-year-old RHP Kyle Cody, while the Tigers have dealt 21-year-old minor league RHP Eric Braun, 21-year-old minor league 1B Aaron Sabato and 22-year-old minor league 2B Dominic MacMurchie. "This one took a while to figure out," said Chicago general manager Jonathan Hodges. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." To date this year Cody has compiled a 2-5 mark with a 5.64 ERA in 8 starts. |
