AC Best Skipper, Warner of Memphis Thursday, October 5th , 2023 The Memphis Redbirds had an outstanding season, much of it due to their astute and gifted skipper. For his managerial excellence, Ron Warner reaped the reward of being voted American Conference Manager of the Year. "A manager is only as good as the players he's managing," Warner told reporters. "If I didn't have the talent to work with, making all the right moves wouldn't have helped a bit." Under Warner the Redbirds finished first in the American Conference South with a record of 83-59. |
