Barrage of Hits Gets Wheeloc EL Award Monday, May 18th, 2020 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Eastern League, but last week Michael Wheeloc of the Erie SeaWolves reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Wheeloc rocked opposing pitching for a .560 average (14-for-25), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Wheeloc has hit .371 with 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 19 times. |
