Owlz Win Round 1 Friday, October 6th , 2023 The Orem Owlz out-dueled and outgunned the Grand Junction Rockies in the Round 1 and are on to the next round. Orem won the final game 13-2 at Mike Lansing Field and the series 3-1. Armando Cruz was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Round 1. He had a .444 average with a .421 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 2 runs. "I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the Championship," he said. The Orem Owlz don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Missoula Osprey - Rocky Mountain Vibes series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Championship schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
