In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Los Angeles first baseman Juan Salas made his presence felt in the 6-3 Angels triumph over the Portland Pioneers. Salas went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Arturo Mendoza picked up the save for Los Angeles, his 10th of the year.

Salas put Los Angeles up, 6-2, when he hit a 2-run home run off Jorge Vargas in the bottom of the fourth. His 6th home run of the season helped the Angels capture the win.

"Even warm beer tastes good after a win," said Salas.

Los Angeles bumps their record to 67-94 with the win.
