Stasek Blasts Pilots, Yankees Take Game 2, 5-3
With second baseman Danny Stasek leading the charge, the New York Yankees got a road win over the Carolina Pilots, 5-3, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series today. Stasek was 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs at The Hanger to help New York force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

New York relied on the bat of Alfredo Rivera to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 4-3. For the game, Rivera had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

Pilots manager Kai-Wei Lin did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Yankee Stadium in New York.
