He may have less experience than most of his Pacific Coast League peers, but that didn't slow Ignacio Delgado down at all in 2046.
At the age of 23, the Las Vegas first baseman has been named the winner of the Pacific Conference Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .297 batting average and a .369 on-base percentage this year. In 107 games he piled up 116 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 25 home runs, 80 RBIs and 58 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 17. Juan Duenas of the Albuquerque Isotopes finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Tommy Flowers of the Salem VooDoo finished third with 5 first place votes.
