Floundering Angels Lose 6th Straight
The California Angels got a superb performance from pitcher Josh Brewer. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Texas. The Rangers won the game, 5-3. Brewer threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. David Toellner earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. Chris Doty got the save, the 12th for him this season.

Texas took a 5-3 lead on Tony Prado's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off California pitcher Jared Wisham in the bottom of the eighth.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Prado said after the game.

The Angels have now dropped 6 straight.
