Angels Make It 7 Straight Losses
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Austin Ohmer, the Montreal Expos defeated the California Angels, 9-6. Ohmer went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Expos. Carlos Maravilla was the winner. He's now 3-5. The loser was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Lopez. Ryan Van Riper earned the save for Montreal, his 12th.

With Montreal leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Ohmer batted against California pitcher Jorge Lopez. Ohmer hit a cutter to center for a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season put the Expos on top, 5-1.
