Cubs Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Brian Thomas, who played a pivotal role in the win. At 23-27, the Cubs are currently last in the National League Central Division.
The Cubs procured the win, in large part because of catcher Gabriel Cruz. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Our guys refused to lose," said Cruz.
