Orioles Stay Hot, Beat Rangers, 6-3
|
The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers, 6-3, in American League action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Baltimore pitcher Oscar Banda had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Banda, now 2-5. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Earning his 4th save of the year was Jonathan Spicer.
C.J. Wells made an early impact for Baltimore when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Orioles on top, 5-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Wells said.
