Nunez belts 2 home runs as Cardinals Drub Pirates, 14-1
The St. Louis Cardinals topped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 14-1, with center fielder Pablo Nunez playing a big role. Nunez hit 2 home runs. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice for the Cardinals in the win. The Cardinals, at 31-20, lead by one game in their division.

With St. Louis leading 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Nunez came up to bat against Pittsburgh pitcher Josh Markham. Nunez hit a curveball to right for a grand slam home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Cardinals on top, 8-0.

"It was full throttle on our side," said Nunez.
