Expos Win Streak Reaches 8
|
Montreal picked up a win at Quebecor Stadium, bumping off the California Angels, 4-2. Pitcher Julian Black was a major reason the Expos emerged victorious. Zack Rust was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 9 save opportunities. The third-place Expos have won 8 in a row.
Montreal grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Bran Stark delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Expos.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Black said.
