Peck Slugs Brewers to 6-3 Win
|
The 6-3 Milwaukee win over Detroit was due largely to Jason Peck. The Brewers shortstop belted 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Victor Munoz earned the save for Milwaukee, his 15th. The loss makes Detroit 35-47.
Orlando Torres was 1-2 with a walk for Milwaukee. The 27-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Aaron Vallejo. It was his 37th RBI of the season.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Torres, "and go after the next one."
