Expos Top New York, 3-2
|
Montreal picked up a win at Citi Field, toppling the New York Mets, 3-2. Pitcher Danny Rivera was one of the reasons the Expos triumphed. Zack Rust, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The winning streak has now reached 10 games for the Expos.
Montreal used the clutch hitting of Austin Ohmer to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Expos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Robb Dixon, the Montreal manager.
