Guardians Earn 4-3 Win Against Angels
|
Angel Stadium of Anaheim was the site of a competitive game between the California Angels and Cleveland Guardians.
The Cleveland Guardians turned back the California Angels, 4-3, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Gil Switzer, in particular, had a fine performance. He hit 2 home runs. Cleveland reliever Chris Cohen picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Trevor Sharp was saddled with the loss.
It could have been a different outcome for Cleveland, had it not been for Ryan Neal, the former first round draft pick . Neal contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Cleveland up, 4-3.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said California manager Dakota Wise.
Cleveland is in last place in the American League Central Division with a record of 37-53.
