Nationals Top Montreal, 6-5
The Washington Nationals took Montreal pitcher Brian White's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Nationals Park. The final score had Washington getting past the Expos, 6-5. White went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Montreal has now lost 4 straight.

The Nationals procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Carlos Gaona. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Gaona.
