Mets Collect 5-3 Win Over Reds
|
The New York Mets defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 5-3, in 12 innings. Carlos Flores led the way, going 4-for-5 for New York. Robbie Beerbower picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-5. Mike Stabb was tagged with the loss. The Mets raised their record to 35-58.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Flores hit a sinker from Mike Stabb for a 2-run home run. The Mets, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Flores said.
