Kasahara Slugs Brewers to 5-3 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from Sakae Kasahara, who finished 5th in the AL in RBI with 109 in 2046, helped the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins, 5-3. Victor Munoz got the save, his 22nd in 28 chances. The Brewers have now won 6 straight.
Kasahara had a timely hit for Milwaukee in the top of the ninth. With Minnesota trailing 3-1, he turned a first pitch curveball into a grand slam home run. It was his 28th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Milwaukee.
Kasahara attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
