Baker Brilliant as Angels Top Astros, 3-0
|
California got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jeff Baker, who frustrated Houston hitters en route to a 3-0 Angels triumph at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The second-place Angels are 71-61.
Baker, who was born in Rio Hondo, Texas, threw 93 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.
Baker called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
