Brewers Pick Up 4-3 Win Over New York
|
The Milwaukee Brewers racked up a win at Citi Field, bumping off the New York Mets, 4-3. Mike Moffett, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Moffett, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The victory makes Milwaukee 2-1.
Chiel Palstermans, the 30-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Palstermans contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Milwaukee up, 4-2.
New York manager Nakashi Mets said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
