The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

Chicago Cubs starter Brian Thomas pitched a strong game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field, leading the Cubs to victory, 4-2. Josh MacQueen earned the save, his 1st, for the Cubs.

Thomas delivered a quality start for Chicago. The 6' 4" left-hander allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

"No time for flexing," said Thomas. "It's always one game at a time."

The Cubs, now 4-1, have been playing some good baseball.
