Pirates Secure 6-3 Win
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Miami Marlins, 6-3, in National League action at PNC Park. The standout performance belonged to Pittsburgh pitcher and Ashland, Ohio, native Robbie Delgado. Pittsburgh is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 14 games.
Pittsburgh took a 6-1 lead on Alain Marquet's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Marquet hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Miami pitcher Bryan Reynolds visibly frustrated.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Marquet.
