Reds Come Back Late to Top Twins, 7-5
|
Conditions were not ideal but Cincinnati and Minnesota were able to put their game in the books.
In the 7-5 Cincinnati win over Minnesota, the impact of Ricardo Sandoval was substantial. Sandoval, who is tied for 6th in the NL in extra base hits with 12, went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Minnesota falls to 9-17.
Sandoval had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Felix Perez, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Reds a 5-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Sandoval.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Sandoval told the Cincinnati Daily.
