Injured Cabrera Out 3 Months

Javier Cabrera will have to wait a while longer. The Colorado Springs reliever was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 3 months with a strained hamstring. The injury has kept him off the field since 07/10/2052. Though Cabrera had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive."
On the year Cabrera has no saves in 3 relief appearances with a 6-4 record and 3.31 ERA.

Hit Streak Now at 20 for Martin

Nick Martin of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox tagged 1 hit in today's 5-4 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas at Security Service Field to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games.
"I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it."
Nick Martin struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Posting a .444 batting average to date, Martin has 1 home run and 6 RBIs.

Intagliata Tosses 4-0 Shutout

In a sharp 2-hit performance, Ken Intagliata led the Pawtucket Red Sox to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Scranton WB RailRiders, fanning 3 and walking 3.
"That's as good of stuff as I've seen in a long time," Scranton WB manager John Bernard said in a postgame interview.
Thus far this season Intagliata has posted a 2-6 record, started 11 games, struck out 70 batters in 82 innings and compiled a 3.29 ERA.
