Don Burt Named Premier AL Player Thursday, November 9th , 2051 Don Burt took International League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22. For his spectacular campaign, the Nashville Sounds star has been named the 2051 American League Most Valuable Player Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman. On the season he compiled a .319 batting average to go with a .414 on-base percentage. The native of Montreal, Canada also added 18 doubles, 2 triples, 16 home runs, 43 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 30. Finn Ross of the Round Rock Express finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Heef Harted of the Buffalo Bisons finished third with 5 first place votes.
