League KO's Sky Sox-Chiefs Players with 4-Game Suspensions Friday, August 29th , 2053 The fans at NBT Bank Stadium saw it all yesterday in the Sky Sox-Chiefs game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Colorado Springs's Cesar Herrera and Syracuse's Jimmy Purscell were ejected from the game. Today the two players were suspended 4 games by the league commissioner. For the year, Herrera has hit at a .132 clip with 4 RBIs, 1 home run and 6 runs scored. So far this year, Purscell has compiled a 3-3 record with a 4.97 ERA. |
