Wolters Sensational, 5-for-6 Wednesday, June 12th , 2052 It was a sensational day at the plate for Todd Wolters as he led the charge to a 15-2 win over the Rays. The Pulaski second baseman was pure misery for the Princeton pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Wolters put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jake Koehler, manager for the Rays, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Todd Wolters flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Wolters is swinging at a .347 pace on the year with 9 home runs, 30 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 35 games. |
