Matt Altieri to Miss One Week Wednesday, May 1st , 2052 Earlier today, Oakland catcher Matt Altieri had to leave the game against Baltimore because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has an oblique strain and will miss one week of play. Altieri was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Altieri is presently hitting at a .389 pace with 5 home runs and 8 RBIs. He has played in 16 games and scored 14 times. |
