Mike Alexander Hurt, Out of Action Saturday, June 1st , 2052 The Texas Rangers learned that Mike Alexander is likely to be out for one week after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Chicago White Sox. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a dead arm. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Texas manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Mike is back in action." In the current season in 12 starts, Mike Alexander has a record of 1-4 with 60 strikeouts in 69.2 innings and a 4.65 ERA. |
