Meyerhoff's Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games Thursday, June 20th , 2052 The Kansas City Royals stopped the Detroit Tigers today 4-1 and Mike Meyerhoff collected a base hit yet again. The Kansas City catcher finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Meyerhoff told reporters after the contest.
