Standout Season For Thorpe Jr., Wins WBC Most Valuable Player

The 2052 World Baseball Championship tournament has come to a close with the coronation of the Canada, and fans of the less-fortunate entrants can start looking forward to the next edition.

Only one could be emerge from the 2052 World Baseball Championship and in the end it would be Canada.

Dispatching with a solid Cuba club in the decisive final game of the tournament, there was little debate left about their legitimacy. Canada took the tournament finale over Cuba by a final margin of 3-1.

"We had the pitching, we had the hitting and we had the defense," manager Andy Silk said. "The boys played well in all the phases to put us here."
