Crandall Batters Lansing Big Time Friday, June 27th , 2031 It was high-fives all around for Pat Crandall at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Lansing Lugnuts. Crandall smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-2 win. "Pat was hitting everything," said Cubs manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Lugnuts manager told BNN beat writers that Crandall "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Crandall oversleeps next time." Pat Crandall singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. So far this year Crandall is batting .283 with 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
