Diamondbacks Move on to League Championship Series
Monday, October 13th , 2070
The Divisional Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Arizona Diamondbacks, however, are not complaining.

The Diamondbacks were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Milwaukee Brewers to advance to the League Championship Series.

Arizona won the final game by a 8-6 count at Chase Field and the series 4-1.

Diamondbacks second baseman Brad Tonkin was named series MVP, as he hit .353 with a .421 on-base percentage. He added 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.

"It's not going to be the last time Milwaukee makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Tonkin said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."

The Arizona Diamondbacks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers - Philadelphia Phillies series. Los Angeles leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
