Vásquez Brilliant as Hounds Top Jacks, 2-0
|
Tennessee got an elite performance from starting pitcher Santiago Vásquez in taking a 2-0 decision over the Nevada Jacks. Francisco Campos closed the door for Tennessee, picking up his 29th save of the year. With the win, Tennessee goes to 50-59, while the Jacks fall to 60-49.
Vásquez ran roughshod over the Nevada lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 3-11 on the season.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Vásquez.
