Minnesota Wolves Capture National Cup Series
Sunday, November 7th, 2083
With a 3-1 win over the Michigan Militia tonight at New Michigan Field, the Minnesota Wolves wrapped up their 3rd title in team history.

Minnesota left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Wolves celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game.

"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Minnesota manager . "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."

A jovial mood filled the air as Minnesota celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works.

"We're going to celebrate our team, our championship Minnesota Wolves," he said.

The champions completed the regular season with a third-place finish in the Great Explorers League North and a 86-76 record.

Bad News For Caldwell and Kansas
Saturday, November 6th, 2083
Kansas Storm closer Michael Caldwell informed reporters that he will be missing additional time because of a setback in his recovery from a strained triceps. "It's a bit frustrating, sure," Caldwell admitted. "I want to be out on the field. At the same time, I don't want to make things worse and miss even more time because I'm pushing it too hard." Storm doctors told BNN Caldwell would not return for 4-5 weeks.

For the year Caldwell has earned 37 saves, made 64 relief appearances, fanned 93 hitters in 70 innings and posted an ERA of 2.06 and a 5-5 record.
