Bears Júlio Rodríguez Down and Out for Year

New Jersey starting pitcher Júlio Rodríguez suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Hounds. According to club doctors Rodríguez has a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Although Rodríguez has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs.
Over the season Rodríguez has thrown 79.2 innings and dished out 62 strikeouts with a 6-4 mark and a 4.18 ERA.

New Jersey Loses Jimmy Rogers for Season

Doctors in New Jersey said Jimmy Rogers might not play anymore this year. The Bears starting pitcher suffered shoulder inflammation during a game against the Tennessee Hounds and will be out for at least 5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
On the year, Rogers has worked 41 innings with 37 strikeouts en route to a 4-2 record and 7.02 ERA.
