Militia Lose By a Run at Idaho, 4-3
|
The Idaho Spuds relied on the hitting of left fielder Christian Pugh to stop the Michigan Militia, 4-3. For the game, Pugh went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. José Costello earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Idaho's record now stands at 52-60, placing them third in the Great Explorers League Pacific.
Pugh contributed in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Idaho get the win.
"We played hard and won," said Pugh. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
